Nelson County Potatoes is a bespoke growers group to Kettle Foods Ltd- makers of the famous hand-cooked KETTLE® Chips, a premium quality product made using the finest potatoes.
Our Norfolk-based growers produce in excess of 65,000 tonnes of potatoes a year, a large proportion of which go in to making KETTLE® Chips at the Kettle Foods Ltd base in Norwich. From here, 100 million bags of KETTLE® Chips are produced per year and distributed around the country to all major supermarkets and independent food stores.
Our aim is to provide Kettle Foods Ltd and our growers with the highest quality service. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our growers’ needs are looked after from seed to shelf by our highly trained team of agronomists, supply chain coordinators, lab technicians, office staff and field support workers.
We utilise the very latest in technology, both in laboratory testing and in the field, and have always invested heavily in state of the art laboratory and storage facilities.
Formed in 2009, Nelson’s three founding growers have over 100 years of growing experience between them. The company has rapidly expanded and now has a grower base across the county, including many growers with 30+ years of experience in crisping potato production.
Just like KETTLE® Chips, we like to keep things local and with a small carbon footprint, so all of our growers are currently within a 40 mile radius of Bowthorpe, allowing the whole operation from seed to KETTLE® to occur within Norfolk.
We are actively seeking new relationships with growers who also strive for excellence and commitment through long term arrangements, as we continue to expand our client base.
